• Platform II - Economic Keys to Success

    Chairman: Fern Scott

Co-Chairmen: Monika Bailey and Anita Helton

Economics is the empowerment hub for creating wealth and prosperity in the black community.  We recognize that sound financial principles and concepts are the key to establishing a higher standard of living in our communities.  Through these initiatives, we will partner with Every Woman Works, a non-profit agency helping women to transition from dependency to self-sufficiency, and with the students at Ison Springs Elementary, in an effort to show the importance of earning, budgeting, saving, and investing their money for the future.

  •  Economic/Financial Presentations
Economic/Financial Presentations are conducted for the members of Phi Phi Omega Chapter on a regularly scheduled basis that highlight various topics from debt management, credit, healthcare to investment strategies for retirement. These helpful hints and techniques are designed to heighten their awareness in order for them to achieve the economic keys to success.

Phi Phi Omega has also been asked to provide volunteer services for the North Fulton Communty Charities table. Please visit www.roswelldayofhope.org for additional information.

  • Game over

Make sure your video games and computers are turned off when not in use.  These electronic devices use lots of energy

    Make up your mind

Arrange items in your refrigerator for quick removal.  Your refrigerator cools the food but heats the kitchen!  The longer the door is open, the longer it runs, heating the kitchen and raising your air conditioning costs.

Use fans and then turn them off when you're away

Fans are great to cool you off and reduce energy use by only run fans when you're there to feel the breeze.  They don't cool a room.  They just cool your skin.
